Data Assistant/Resource Advocate

Position Status:  Full- Time

Location:  Triangle

Education Requirements: High School diploma or GED with a preference for a BA degree.

Experience Requirements: The position requires solid computer skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, and 3 years of office experience. Must qualify as an Associate Professional or Qualified Professional in I/DD. Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities: The Data Assistant/Resource Advocate will serve in a semi-dual capacity. As the Data Assistant the individual will perform a wide range of administrative support tasks for the assigned site(s) in the Tailored Care Management Division. Conduct research and perform data entry tasks using various databases and electronic systems including but not limited to NC Health Connex, NC Tracks, and Medisked Coordinate. Must review service records and documentation to ensure accuracy and that it meets expected standards. As a Resource Advocate, the individual will coordinate services and appointments, engage in health promotion activities and knowledge sharing with the individual and care team, and participate in the implementation and ongoing coordination of services and support of an individual’s ISP or care plan etc. Many other duties as assigned.Deadline: September 27, 2023

Supports Manager

Position Status:  Full- Time

Location:  Southern Pines, NC

The Arc of NC is seeking a full-time Supports Manager to support to individuals/families with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Southern Pines area.

The Supports Manager will assist individuals/families with the hiring, managing, training, and evaluating of staff. The Supports Manager will also provide clinical supervision for staff, develop short-range goals, complete required reports, and monitor individual authorized services. They will maintain communications with all invested parties, coordinate team meetings with families and provide support to individual/families during challenging situations.  Some travel is required.

Candidate should be a motivated team player, flexible, creative, hardworking and organized, as well as have excellent problem solving and communications skills.  Candidate must have solid computer skills and should possess a thorough knowledge of person-centered thinking and state and federal regulations.

Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in a related field and two years of full-time experience in the field of developmental disabilities and must meet the qualifications of a Qualified Professional.


Support Associate (Direct Care Staff)

Responsibilities: Providing breaks for caregivers, assistance with personal care, teaching skills to increase independence, promoting inclusion in the community. Related experience in direct care or special education is preferred but not required. Creativity, progressive thinking, strong advocacy skills, and knowledge of community resources are highly desirable. Qualified applicants must be 18 or older, current driver's license, and pass background checks.
